We miss the Whales! The staff of Whale Watch Vallarta is eagerly anticipating late November, early December and the beginning of the 2014 Puerto Vallarta Whale watching season on December 8th, 2013. Our staff of Marine Biologists look forward to once again seeing the mighty exhalations of Humpback Whales as they return to Banderas Bay from their long journey to feed in the north eastern Pacific.
Elisa, our Head Biologist and Guide, has 9 years of working with the populations of Cetaceans (Dolphins and Whales) in the Puerto Vallarta region and even knows many of the Humpback whales by sight. Late November 2013 the Whales will begin to arrive, the pregnant mother Humpbacks ready to give birth to their precious 12 foot long, 1500 pound bundle of aquatic joy!
We hope you will join our small groups of 10 guests (or less) for our fun and educational whale watching tours in the Bay of Banderas during the 2014 Puerto Vallarta Whale Watching Season. During the tours we are collecting images for the Puerto Vallarta Humpback Whale Photo ID catalog. The creation and updating of the catalog allows Marine Biologists and Governments to work towards knowledgeable decisions on whale conservation and the healthy future of the wonderful little whales born here every year.
If you have not joined a Whale Watch Vallarta tour in the past, we hope you will join us during the 2014 Puerto Vallarta Whale watching season for responsible encounters with the Whales and Dolphins of the Bay of Banderas, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
